A Yamdu alternative for your commercial shoot.

Yamdu connects script breakdowns, stripboards and DOOD reports for film and TV, with commercial workflows too. In Little PA, you start with the storyboard, plan the shoot day and prepare approvals and the PPM in the same project.

Plan with shots

Does that shot still fit in this shoot day?

In Shorder, you plan shots, setup time, breaks and location moves. Move a shot to another shoot day and check the time left there. You can import your storyboard PDF as a starting point, then select the image crop for each shot yourself.

Approvals in Screener

Who signs off on the cut?

Choose Offline approval as the occasion for a Screener link. This sets the Decision-maker role and enables approval and comments. You can adjust the individual settings afterwards. Only someone with the Decision-maker role for that link can give binding approval.

PPM in Deckster

Give the booklet your look.

Connect casting, locations and timing from your project to your PPM deck. Select the content, add your own slides and adjust the design. Switch themes to see the cover, agenda and slides change together.

Side by side

From source material to shoot day.

Scripts and storyboards lead to different workflows. Both tools include callsheets and confirmations. Open the details to see what is documented for each.

Keep working with your files

Your contact list has been on enough shoots.

Keep using your files: import crew from Excel, or contacts and schedule items from PDFs. Review the extracted details before saving. This does not transfer an entire Yamdu project with its links and confirmations.

Import your storyboard PDF, review the shots and assign them to shoot days. Use the other tools in the project to prepare approvals and your PPM.

Questions & answers

Before you send your callsheet.

Source files, imports and what carries over when you switch.

  • No. Alongside script breakdowns, stripboards and DOOD reports, Yamdu explicitly offers a commercial workflow with AV scripts, shot lists and storyboards. Little PA starts from an existing storyboard PDF here. FDX and Fountain breakdowns are not part of the current Little PA product.

  • There is no full Yamdu project import. Existing Excel crew lists and PDFs with contacts or schedule items can serve as source files. Review and complete the result; layouts, links and confirmations do not carry over.

  • Yes. You can try the tools for free in one project. The pricing page lists included allowances and paid workspace plans.
